Climate Change: Rulemaking Petition

HHAA is part of a diverse group of more than 40 Montana organizations and businesses that submitted a petition to the Montana Public Service regulation Commission (PSC) to request that it adopt rules requiring consideration of climate change in its of Montana gas and electric utilities.

In support of the petition, HHAA member Gayle Joslin provided testimony on behalf of Montana wildlife.

Petitioners assert that the PSC has a most consequential role in the future of Montana. Frank Szollosi, with the Montana Wildlife Federation, said Public Service Commissioners and all elected officials need to “recognize the intergenerational justice component” of public policy on climate change and their moral imperative to act for future generations.
